weddingdump:
It’s annoying when work gets in the way of my “wedding planning” time - aka 9am-5pm on the weekdays. I seriously did almost NOTHING wedding-related today at work. boooooo.
I couldn’t say it better. I mean c’mon - isn’t my 9-5 for wedding planning?

May 24, 2011: I am grateful for my neighborhood ice cream truck. It’s precious and charming. Although I’ve never partaken in its icy treats, when I’m out for a run, I often contemplate stopping and begging for them to let me buy something on consignment. I guess I could actually bring cash with me and buy a popsicle, but there’s something awesomely delirious about just...

Today was the perfect day, filled with:
An early morning run
Bagels for breakfast
Catching up on paperwork I’ve been putting off forever (shredding bags of credit card offers, years-old pay stubs, and bills; checking our credit reports; reevaluating my homeowner’s insurance)
Cleaning the house - top to bottom
Naps
Going to see Bridesmaids with my bridesmaids
And I’m going...

Things that made my lunch break amazing:
Driving with the sunroof open
A free pita from Pita Pit (since I previously bought ten pitas, this was my reward)
A free Frappuccino from Starbucks (Mocha Light!), since I had a gift card
Watching kids spash around in the fountain in their itty bitty bathing suits
Getting 50% (!!) off at Banana Reublic

Today’s totally awesome wedding-victory?
I have managed to stay within my wedding budget for flowers! (Well, I’m going over by $4.88, but c’mon - that’s nearly zero. Especially when compared to the the total cost of this wedding, which is mind-boggling.)
This is amazing!

I’m looking at a slideshow from the last half marathon I ran, earlier this month. Man, I forgot how good I felt for the first few miles. I’m smiling. The fiance as i are within feet of each other. We’re taking good strides - and looking good! But, that race killed me! (There were multiple bathroom stops, at least twenty walking breaks, and hundreds of times where I searched for...

May 19, 2011: I am grateful for potentially finding new ceremony musicians. We’re meeting with them next week, but I’m grateful that finding a replacement (for the musician that bailed earlier this week) is proving to be feasible. Thank goodness.
May 20, 2011: I am grateful for wine. While it doesn’t solve all the world’s problems, a glass of wine after an awful day at...

Today could have been filled with gloom & doom (just like yesterday).
I woke up to a thoughts-of-Rudolph evoking pimple, perfectly on the tip of my nose
It’s pouring out (again!) and I left my umbrella in the office - meaning I needed to run from my car to my office, trying to dodge raindrops
I ate (most of) an entire bag of sunchips last night (emotional eating, much?) - which has...

I haven’t been posting much recently, so I’ve been slacking on updating these.
Here are my daily doses of gratitude, from May 11 through 18th:
May 11: I am grateful for having super enthusiastic dogs, who eagerly await my arrival home from work. They sit on our bay window, gazing longingly, waiting for me to pull into the driveway. Then - they’ll hop up, run to the door,...
Watching tivo’ed episodes of RHONJ after a stressful day gives me agita.

Today in (not so) awesome events:
My wedding ceremony violinist cancelled. She refunded my deposit - but, BOO! Now I need to find new ceremony musicians.
In my hurry to get out of work, I almost backed into a car on my way out of the parking lot. Oops. Let’s hope it’s someone I don’t now.
I ate too much popcorn tonight and now my fingers, lips, and stomach all feel like...

I ran last night, ya’ll. FINALLY!
After a two week hiatus, to recover (mostly mentally) from my last half marathon, which was zero fun (mostly because I was getting sick - with an ear infection, strep throat AND bronchitis) - I ran! Yay!
It may have not been far (it was a little over 4 miles) or fast (a little under 10:00/mi), but felt great to get out there. My playlist also helped - I...

I don’t know if it’s because I’ve been sick, lazy, stressed, or just feeling ill recently, but I’ve been craving certain foods like crazy. I cannot get enough of:
Glacier Freeze G2
Harvest Cheddar Sun Chips (actually, any kind of Sun Chip, excluding the Jalapeno kind)
Subway Turkey and Ham sandwiches
Anything with chocolate and coconut
Pasta with butter
Arnold Palmers...

Things I’m loving today:
Checking things off my virtual The Knot wedding checklist. (Bridesmaids dresses? Wedding cake? Reception menu? Check. Check. And Check!)
Rosie Pope - omg, I want to have babies and be a billionaire just so I can work with her. And listen to her lil’ accent slash lisp.
Post-work, yet pre-dinner naps. Yes, I am still feeling run down. This means naps are...

Five Gratitude Updates:
May 6, 2011: I am grateful that I have finished watching all six seasons of Lost. While I wasn’t caught in the hype when it was actually on TV, the fiance and I started watching it last fall, and the show managed to consume most of our TV watching time. (This means I’m, like, so far behind on Parenthood and other, more important shows). And, yeah - I totally...
